How to Make the Most of Your Senior Photo Outfits

One of the most exciting parts about planning your senior photo session is deciding what you want to wear. Your outfits not only represent your personality but give you the chance to take a variety of unique photos.

As you plan your outfits, here are a few essential tips to keep in mind to help you get the most out of your selection.

-        Create more than one look. Most senior photo sessions allow for more than one look, so take advantage of it. For example, one of your looks could be more formal, while another could be fun and showcase what makes you unique. This way, you walk away with a variety of photos.

-        Try out different styles. Everyone has their day-to-day style, but this is your chance to change things up a bit. If you generally love wearing dresses and skirts, pick a pair of fitted jeans and a nice blazer for some of your other photos and vice versa.

-        Change up the colors. Picking several different colors and tones is another way to add some variety to your photos. You may want to incorporate your favorite color into most of your images, but make sure you’re including other colors and hues in some other photos too. Don’t forget to consider your skin tone when deciding on colors.

-        Bring in different textures. Another simple way to add interest and variety to your senior photos is to use different textures. Some examples include denim, cotton, and sheers.

-        Have a selection of accessories. Accessories are an easy way to change up every outfit slightly. This could be anything from statement earrings to a scarf or hat. Even sunglasses work really well.

-        Consider the season. When are you planning to take your senior photos? Consider the weather and your location when deciding on your outfits.

Along with applying these tips to your outfit selection, you can also change up your hair and makeup slightly on the day to create different looks throughout your shoot. You may want to have someone available to help you with this though.
